Connected Financial Overview
The dashboard surfaces total real time money, net worth, monthly income and spending, top expenses, and active goals in a single view so users can understand their position at a glance.
Take control of every financial move
Lukana is a financial management platform designed to bring clarity to both personal and business finances. The design needed to translate dense financial concepts into intuitive flows, support multiple entity management, and enable real time tracking across accounts, budgets, and goals.
The result is a unified system where users can monitor, plan, and act on their finances without friction—whether they're managing household budgets or coordinating across business units.
Lukana engaged our team to build the foundation of the product experience and the entire marketing site.
Finance, Enterprise, Consumer
Lukana set out to unify personal budgeting, business treasury, and accountant workflows without overwhelming users. It also needed to integrate with spreadsheet-based workflows and stay consistent across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Users were tracking finances in scattered spreadsheets, making it hard to bring historic data into a new product without friction.
Business owners and accountants needed to switch between multiple entities and share access with teammates while keeping permissions clear.
Lukana required a responsive design system and content structure that could support a deep feature set without feeling dense or intimidating.
We designed Lukana as a financial operating layer by mapping user journeys and building around three pillars of understand, act, and align. A unified visual language and interaction model ensures consistency across the desktop app, mobile app, and marketing site.
Designed a multi step onboarding that lets users connect banks, import spreadsheets, configure categories, and review key assumptions before landing on the dashboard.
Introduced multi profile and multi user patterns so business owners can invite collaborators and accountants can switch between client entities in a couple of taps.
Created a "Quick Add" system for transactions, accounts, investments, goals, and invoice scans so users can update Lukana from any screen with minimal context switching.
Defined responsive layouts and a shared component library so every feature works across desktop, tablet, and mobile while preserving hierarchy and readability.
An overview of what Lukana enables

The dashboard surfaces total real time money, net worth, monthly income and spending, top expenses, and active goals in a single view so users can understand their position at a glance.

Users can link institutions, add accounts manually, or import existing Excel and Google Sheet data, with mapping flows that reconcile spreadsheet columns into Lukana's categories and structures.

A dedicated transactions layer supports manual entries, recurring patterns, installment logic, credit card splitting, and invoice scanning that extracts key fields and turns them into ready to review records.

Owners can share specific budgets or views with teammates, while accountants get a clean way to move between multiple companies, keeping permissions and context tightly scoped.

Goal creation lets users define targets, link them to income sources and accounts, and tie them into a cash flow section that visualizes how money will move over time across obligations and ambitions.
By the end of the engagement, Lukana had a complete product blueprint. A responsive web and mobile application, a coherent design system, and a suite of landing pages that clearly articulate the value for different audiences. The product now reflects the reality of how individuals and businesses manage money, instead of forcing them into narrow templates. The Lukana team can onboard developers and partners with confidence because journeys, states, and edge cases are fully specified. The result is a platform positioned to support growth from early adopters through scaled enterprise use.
The team translated a dense brief into a product that is easy to navigate yet powerful enough for our most demanding users. The way they handled onboarding, imports, and multi entity access has already become part of how we talk about Lukana to investors and partners. We left the project with a complete, development ready system instead of a handful of disconnected screens.
